Can I have electricity in my conservatory?
Although providing an electricity supply to a conservatory is normally a straightforward task, for safety reasons we recommend that you consult an approved electrician first. Since January 1st 2005 all electrical work must be completed in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and BS 7671. Notifiable work must be either notified directly to the local building control department or completed by an operator who is approved under the Part P Electrical Competent Person Scheme. How long will it take to build my conservatory?
This will depend on several factors, including the conservatory size, complexity of design, the weather, etc. but in general most conservatories are built in 4 weeks from start to finish. Can I use my conservatory all year round?
Yes. We hope that after you have one built that you use it as often as possible. But to get full use from a conservatory you perhaps want to consider extra heating for colder winter days; and optimised ventilation for good air circulation on though's hot summer days. Will my conservatory discolour in the sun?
I would be highly unusual for you to come across any discolouration. Our sourced and highly regarded uPVC conservatory product manufacturing companies will warrant against this occurrence.
I have a manhole right in the middle of where I wish to place my conservatory, what can I do about it? It may be expensive to move so you should consider fitting an airtight cover over the top. You will have to be careful if you intend to lay permanent flooring over the cover as access may be needed in the future. |
